Meet Dr. Scott
Dr. Scott Kelley PT, DPT, Cert DN, Cert SMT, FNCP, Dip. Osteopractic
I started Kelley Physical Therapy because I wanted the opportunity to help people who were dealing with pain and injury. Working and studying in the field of Physical Therapy for over 20 years I have seen so many people not getting what they need and deserve from therapy because of the constraints and restrictions of insurance companies. I wanted to do things differently, putting the patient first without dealing with the limitations from insurance companies. Patients often tell me they feel no one listens to them and I want to change that. I am here to listen. At Kelley Physical Therapy, each patient’s treatment plan is developed with the patient input, and tailored specific to the needs and wants of the patient. Focus is first placed on identifying the cause of the problem and then treating the cause, not just the symptoms, which gets to the root of the pain. I strive to give people an alternative to invasive, and often ineffective, treatments such as pills and surgery.
As a manual trained and certified physical therapist I employ a hands-on approach to treatment. This begins at the initial evaluation and is incorporated into the treatment plan. I employ a whole body and holistic approach to treatment that combines manual therapy, nutrition, exercise, and modalities. Being cash-based allows me to spend 100% of treatment time with my patients. Treatment is focused on relieving pain first and only after the pain is resolved or well controlled do we introduce exercises for strengthening and stability designed to be done easily at home with little or no equipment.
